Eligibility Details: (have) hold similar positions on a regular basis in the parent department or department; Where (ii) with six years of service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis at Level 5 in the (pre-revised) Remuneration Matrix Remuneration of Rs.2800 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; Where (iii) with ten years of service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis at level 4 in the (pre-revised) salary matrix Remuneration of Rs 2400 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) Possess the following qualifications and experience. (I) Bachelor’s degree with geography as a main subject from a recognized university; and (ii) Two years of card maintenance and retrieval experience in a government agency or library.

Job Profile: Oversee the maintenance of all related surveying publications and libraries with reproductions of foreign and Indian maps. Use of contemporary scientific conservation techniques and observation of safety measures. Collect data from reports created by surveyors and military explorers, as well as maintain these records. To review all available map resources for a specific area, rank them and choose the resources best suited for updating maps. To look into the copyright of the map. Supervise and plan the efforts of map keepers under his command. Review of list of additional maps sent to Intelligence and Records Section, etc.
