SBI Recruitment 2022: The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department (CRPD) has been inviting applications in the online mode from candidates fulfilling the eligibility for several positions under the regular and pending recruitment processes of the State Bank of India. Candidates among the eligible candidates wishing to apply in the state in Hindi language and various dialects can proceed with online application submission by following the prescribed instructions.

*Candidates who have acquired Diplomas in the Disciplines; namely, Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant are also eligible to apply.

There are 1422 vacancies overall, including 1400 vacancies under regular recruitment and 22 under standby recruitment for various positions. 1,400 positions to be filled (including 572 in Regular Recruitment). The online recruitment application process begins on this date with the deadline for online registration with scanned signatures, photographs, testimonials and fees arriving on November 7, 2022 (07.11.2022).

SBI recruitment methodology: The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department will conduct the 3-step selection process; namely, i) Online Examination, ii) Selection Process and iii) Personal Merit Interview respectively.

Selection procedure: The selection process for recruitment into circle-based officer positions includes 03 steps; namely, i) Computer-Based Online Test, ii) Prior Document Review and iii) Personal Interview.

Online test: The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department will tentatively host on 4th Dec 2022 (04.12.2022) Pan-India Computerized Recruitment Test Online Test spanning 02 hours with descriptive type test with examination duration of 30 minutes will consist of 120 multiple objective-type tests Choice questions for 120 points and the descriptive English test (letter writing and essay writing) carry 50 points. The descriptive test will be administered immediately after the objective-type online test. Candidates, in the descriptive test, will be required to type both the letter and the essay on the computer in half an hour (½ or 30 minutes).

a) Objective test: The computerized online test with an exam duration of 02 hours consists of 04 sections with 120 objective type multiple choice questions for a total of 120 points without negative scoring. The marks obtained by the candidates in the online test will be taken into account for the preparation of the merit list.

i) English language: 30 objective type multiple choice questions = 30 points

ii) Banking knowledge: 40 objective type multiple choice questions = 40 points

iii) General Awareness/Economy: 30 objective type multiple choice questions = 30 points

iv) Computer skills: 20 objective type multiple choice questions = 20 points

b) Descriptive test: The descriptive test with an exam duration of 30 minutes to be administered in English includes (letter writing and essay writing) for a total of 50 points. This is

Merit list: The Central Recruitment and Promotion Service will establish a merit list by circle, category and community based on the overall scores obtained in the online test. There will be no section qualification scores. The vacancies by circle and category of candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio 1:3 for selection.

Screening: Selection from the top of the merit list drawn by circle and by category, subject to any candidate obtaining the overall minimum qualifying percentile scores, to be decided by the Bank.

The selection process involves a detailed review of the online application and documents from applicants, who are shortlisted based on performance in the online exam, will be submitted to the selection committee. Candidates recognized to have completed the Mandatory Experience relying on the Decision of the Selection Committee, will be summoned to appear for an Interview.

Interview: The interview carries 50 marks. Applicants will be required to achieve the minimum qualifying scores that may be stipulated by the Central Recruitment and Promotions Service during the interview to be considered for final selection.
