Wow, when Peace was selling, Scavenger was buying in truckloads. "Madness To Our Method", which is as nearly as I can tell, the first proper outing by these Irish thrash-merchants, simply drips and oozes a pure Megadeth vibe. More pure, dare I say, than anything that band has done in ages. The guitars twist and swirl, alternating between beauty and, well, more beauty.

Lead off track "On The Outside" found my head bobbing, my eyes perplexed at the genuine love of the old school these boys have tattooed deep under their metal skin. And then "Storm Warning" comes galloping like the four horses of the apocalypse, crushing the skull in secretive, pretty hues of guitar texturing, vocal posturing and drum dominated ambiance. That is, of course, providing ambience is an accurate adjective to describe this old school feast.
Really, the album doesn't provide anything new, it does the opposite. "Madness to Our Method" embraces the old, trims the fat and rust off a classic sound, and spits it back. Makes me feel all warm and mushy inside.
