Well...Runamok remind me of old Metallica or Megadeth. "Old school metal" shall be played due to the promotional flyer, maybe Annihilator fans might like the music. The debut album of the band around guitar player and singer Fabian Schwarz (also Fallen 2 Pieces) is produced by by himself and the production is really good! The other members are guitar player Olli Kaufmann (also Primal Fear), Freddy Schartl (also Apokrypha) plays the bass guitar and Mario Schmitt (the 2nd Fallen 2 Pieces member) does the drumming.

Thrash metal is the logical consequence of the bands mentioned above, but the opener "Mother Earth" sounds a bit weak and too predictable, just like "Eraser", the next song. Now it is geting more speedy. "Guilty" is dominated by fast riffing and pounding drums, even if there's a little accoustic part in the middle. Well, I must say almost the whole record is going this way: no superb stuff, but good music in a way. One can't expect much from the German trio, but somehow, the one or the other song is able to kick ass indeed! The album goes on and on, and even the last song, a coverversion of Mötley Crüe's "Looks That Kill" isn't too good. A bit thrashy, but that's it.

So if you like easy thrash metal, check out the band Runamok. The best songs are "Guilty", "Back For Revenge" and "O.N.U.F.G.", even if they are not too innovative.
