What do you get when you mix rock'n'roll with street punk, a touch of Oi and old school hardcore? Obviously Murderer's Row hailing from Troy, New York, formed in 2000 and recorded the "Fightin and Boozin" demo in late 2000. Now with a solid line up of Riley (vocals), Bob Agars (drums), Nick Manupella (lead guitar), Mike Gragnano (bass) and Mike Gazzardi (guitar) they released their debut "Menace To Sobriety". You can hear influences of rock bands such as Rose Tattoo and AC/DC, early Oi bands like the British band 4 skins and the American's Bruisers.
Considering that Riley is from Stigmata, Agars is from War Time Manner and Mike G. is from Dying Breed, all heavy bands, it's surprising to hear that Murderer's Row play a tightly knit blend of street rock & punk, Oi and old school HC. This well done debut gets you right in the party mood and after a few spins and booze you should be able to join the chorus. And this is what the album is all about, parties, booze and having fun.
