Cool. 18 years after their first offical release Kreator finally release a live album. Enough material to choose from indeed and that's probably why Kreator release it as a double live album. Not only a double live album simply called "Live Kreation" will be available but also a DVD called "Live Kreation - Revisioned Glory". There's also a limited edition "deluxe" package consisting of both the CD and the DVD. Most of the material was recorded/shot in Korea and Brasil but on the CD there are also some songs that were recorded on the European tour.

I don't think Kreator really need an introduction to you metalheads out there. The fans can enjoy a release that spans the whole career of their thrash heroes: Old tracks like "Pleasure To Kill" and "Betrayer" happily coexist to not-so-old tracks like "Renewal" and "Lost" and newer tracks like "Violent Revolution" and "Servant In Heaven, King In Hell". This band is just so great and intense live! Same goes for Mille's shouting and screaming - but he still cannot sing ;) ("Black Sunrise").

People not all too familiar with the band can see this disc easily as a "best-of"-release to catch an overview. Partly this is thanks to the incredible sound quality that almost sounds better than some band's studio release which makes me often wonder how much there has been dubbed in the studio later on; we'll see what the band will tell us about this in an interview. The reaction of the audience can mainly be heard in between the songs which I find pretty good - I don't need loud screams from the crowd during my favourite parts of the songs. Announcements are kept short and I just feel like counting along 1-2-3-4 or shouting "alte Drecksau" (hehe, no idea how to translate that...) when a song starts.

A few final words about the additional features of the DVD: a short history of the band (with various subtitles to choose from), discography, making-of and last but not least all videoclips the band ever made. Well done.
No matter which of the available formats, this is essential stuff for Kreator fans or thrash fans as such.
