With a new world wide deal at Mausoleum, the new vocalist Norman Skinner and the second guitarist Pat Toms, California's Imagika return with a well produced killer album which will be released in March 2005.
You can easily hear out that their Bay Area thrash is influrenced by a touch of NWOBHM and the old Scandinavian metal like Mercyful Fate. With the new members they add more power metal vibes to the new album "Devils On Both Sides". Many times they strongly remind me of Iced Earth (Matthew Barlow era) with this power-thrash metal mix, but also here and there of Brainstorm, Nevermore and other familiars band.
Beautiful melodies, tight riffs and rhythm section, fantasic leads and Norman Skinner's powerful vocals range from mellow/melodic to pure aggressive which should raise every metal heart to heaven. Imagika's perfect combination of wonderful emotional parts mixed with killer riffs/rhythms takes you on to other dimension. Each song has its own magic! I can't pick a favorite song, the album convinced me as a whole, so I can recommend this album to every metal heart.... /mp/\.jpgm/
