So what we're getting from a real heavy band like The Heavils? Meanies. What? Meanies - guitars built from a table, some industrial waste or a toilet cover. It's really fantastic how far science has gone letting these incredible machines to develop. Amazing.

Alright, here is a band playing on motorcycle parts. That's cool. However, their music is a weird trip in metal phantasma. Like a weeding Voivod joining Primus-esque bluesy old-school riffing. Strange, yet I can't say I could remember any catchy themes. OK, don't want to be so rude, "Space Heater" grabs the very core of The Heavils and it kicks ass on a party. While meanies might rule in design, their sound is just weak for those thrash parts and for all kinds of metal at all.
Although these guys had Devin Townsend to produce their stuff, the final mixes are sounding more like a demo than an LP. So let's say it's just a good joke with many friends and beers while recording. Of course, it's not the first time Devin chose some freaks like he did earlier with Zimmer's Hole.

All in all, you may love this record because of the heavy meanies. The sad fact is that no truth lies beyond. Metal Blade could get much more unsigned, talented bands than The Heavils.
