I'm not entirely sure if my love for Sweden alone will make me love this Swedish band too ;) Judging by the band's name "Haterush" I was thinking of angry and aggressive music, the album title "Mark Of The Warrior" rather lead to an association with "true" metal. Neither of the two assumptions is really correct.

According to the info is Haterush "really the new big name of the European power metal scene". And indeed, the music is a mix of ordinary melodic power metal and hardrock taken from the 80s right into the present. But of course you won't read anything bad in a band's info, so if they are gonna make a difference in the European power metal scene I don't know. Haterush are in the vein of bands such as Hammerfall, At Vance, Primal Fear and Chroming Rose (in case someone remembers them..).
There's some nice ideas here and there and personally I like the music more than singer Stefan's performance. Not because he's that bad, I just don't like his voice much. As I said, the music is melodic and highly catchy too: you don't need to listen to any of the songs (choruses) twice to be able to sing along loud! If you consider this a good thing, "Mark Of The Warrior" might be a good choice. I on the other hand doubt the album is going to be a long-lasting experience.
