It's time the Spanish scene got more recognition world-wide, for it seems to harbour some incredible talents. Easy Rider is such a talented band! Their roots are clearly in the classic 80's metal, but with a fresh, progressive and sometimes (acoustic) Spanish touch. Technical but melodic, good songwriting, heavy dark riffs, great solos and a classy singer (Eugenio Garañeda), man, what a throat! Think Dio, Bruce, Wade Black, Harry Conklin! They started out with more Spanish than English lyrics, but now use English only, for the band feels it fits their music best.

"Evilution" is their 3rd album, first for Locomotive. It opens with a short acoustic song/intro, "Blessed", then the power is switched on for almost the rest of the album. In the middle we'll find a nice acoustic moment with "Crowns Of Gold" and the outro "So Shall It Be" is also acoustic again. Songs that stand out for me are the epic "Babylon The Great", "Evilution", the aforementioned acoustic "Crowns Of Gold", the instrumental "Hiking Mars" (great drumming by Antonio Chaves and awesome progressive guitarwork by Javier Villanueva and Dani Castellanos), the catchy "Signs" and the aggressive "When The Thousand Years Are Over"(with distorted vocals). Overall a very powerful album for the whole world to hear!
